An awful and monstrous tragedy took place in Odessa region – Sergey Rogovoy, the director of Novonikolaevsk poultry plant and his driver were murdered. But there is nothing of criminal conflicts. It was a 46-year-old poultry plant driver who killed two men.
As the spokesman’s service of the Internal Affairs department in Odessa region reports the salaries were not payed for a long time. Once the future murderer laid an ambush for the head of the enterprise at the plant territory and demanded to overtake arrears. Sergey Rogovoy refused. We don’t know the explanation of his refusal. But the driver finally got shirty with his management. He took a sporting gun and went “hunting”.
The drunken worker shot down Rogovoy and his driver in broad day-light in the weather. It is hard to say why didn’t he get with the driver. The poultry plant director died on his way to the hospital. The driver, a father of three, died in-site. People say the murderer doesn’t repent. Such a touching story of a poor poultry plant director, his driver and a malicious murderer was told to an ordinary reader by Andrey Kokotyukha, a correspondent of the Ukrainian newspaper “Evening news” (#6 of May, 20, 2005). Don’t you feel sorry for the poultry plant director yet? Unfortunately the name of the hero-murderer is unknown as well as his further fate.
...In May 2004 the wages began to be payed regularly, twice a month at the plant “Lisichansk soda”. Before the workers succeeded to pull out some parts of the debt only by hard protest actions. At the same time the director Sergey Dryupin (who belonged to the “Privat” group close to Timoshenko) cut off the workers’ phones, threw out their children from the plant kindergarten under the pretence of non-payment (of money which he didn’t give out himself!). Such a story happened to Liza, the junior daughter of the maintenance fitter Roman Kamynin. The obedient to the administration trade union committee refused to help him. On May, 4 Roman came to Dryupin’s home and asked him to solve the question with the kindergarten. The director applied to him an epithet of “plant trash”. Roman returned – but with a gun – and shot at the door. He scored a hit although not at Dryupin (regrets for it are expressed at the plant till now) but at his assistant Vladimir Kovalev who was chewing hazel grouses with Dryupin that day. Only after murder of a management representative the wage payment tuned up. Even the corrupt regional appeal court which upheld the sentence of 10 years imprisonment had to state: “The violation of the statutory requirements of terms, size and order of wage payment to workers as well as violation of the law in the social sphere and citizens reception by the JSC “Lisichansk soda” administration was fixed during legal proceedings that in sum resulted to commission of the crime”. The Supreme court of Ukraine upheld the sentence as well. What else could be expected of the bourgeois “justice”?
Lugansk region organization of the Communist Party of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Council of Workers as well as the Trotskyite group “Levitsa” render assistance to Roman Kamynin and his family. Now Roman is housed in a general regime colony near Severodonetsk, his address is to be found out.
The life has shown the way of struggle to Ukrainian people brought to extreme misery. The only right one. I think “dear Russians” won’t reflect too long, too.
